Located at the bottom of the Latemar, a World Heritage Site, Obereggen is one of the most loved ski and hiking areas in the Dolomites. Overlooking the city of Bolzano (just 20 minutes’ drive away), Obereggen offers the perfect alpine experience in summer and winter.
If you visit us in winter you can make your way from Obereggen to the Pampeago and Predazzo ski resorts via 18 modern lift facilities, swaying between 1,550 and 2,500 metres in the air. Our guests will live the experience of a lifetime surrounded by nature on 48 km of sunny and carefully groomed slopes and in our newly revamped snow park centres.

But wait, there’s more! The Obereggen ski pass can be used in the neighbouring ski resorts of Cermis, Alpe Lusia, Bellamonte and many more. Get ready for a blast on more than 100 km of slopes waiting just for you!
What if you’re more of a night owl? Easy: we’ve got something for you too. As our other guests sleep sweet dreams, you can come out and play in Obereggen. Come out, come out and play! From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. ski by floodlight on one of our best slopes, the sledge slope and our new Night-Snowpark.

Obereggen lies in the very heart of the Dolomites and is partnered with the largest international ski association, Dolomiti Superski. The area is renowned the world over for its carefully groomed slopes and its snow’s outstanding quality. Our main concerns are to protect the environment and nurture sustainability to ensure this beautiful natural landscape is preserved in the future. Take the village of Obereggen, for example. In the last decade alone it has used exclusively biomass to heat the entire village and produce green electricity through the use of water power.

Pack your walking boots and head to Obereggen this summer: it’s well worth a visit! Take a deep breath of crisp, fresh mountain air during your walks on mountain pastures in full bloom or explore our planet’s very own history on the World Heritage Site. There’s never a dull day on our exciting themed trails: everyone, from the youngest tot to parents and grandparents will learn about how the Dolomites came to be and its flora and fauna. The 360° viewing platform (2,100 m) is quite the highlight: lose yourself in the breathtaking view over the main chain of the Alps.

Scared of missing out on that golden tan? Obereggen is an ideal place for sunbathing, too. According to the 2013 weather reports of the Provincial Weather Office, Obereggen and the municipality of Deutschnofen were the sunniest South Tyrolean municipalities. Leave the bad weather back at home and prepare yourself for over 300 days of sunshine a year.
Over 70 percent of regular guests say that: once you’re Obereggen, you’ll always want to come back!

The new, thrilling LATEMARIUM

The Latemar, part of the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site, has always been beautiful and home to many legends. The hiking paradise in the South Tyrol Eggental Valley became even more exciting back in the summer of 2014: adults and children will find new themed trails at the Latemarium and a spectacular 360° viewing platform with breathtaking views on the surrounding mountains. The planners paid particular attention to the overall concept of the site: they wanted to emulate nature as much as possible and, for this reason, tried to integrate as much of the natural environment itself, causing minimal disruption to the surroundings.
